Tuesday Tip- Track your progress
I've never been very good at looking in the mirror and seeing results. They are so gradual that I just don't pick up on it. I have to find other ways to track my progress and I've learned so many things along the way. I write down my weight every day. I weigh myself as close to the same time every day. It keeps me aware of weight gain or loss over time. I try to compare my weight to the same day the week before. This blog has also helped me track my workout swings. I noticed that the first week of my birth control every month, I have rough workouts, higher weigh ins, more hunger urges, etc. It explains a lot of the frustration I have been experiencing over and over. Now, I know to expect it and just wait it out. If you keep a food journal int he beginning, like I did, it keeps you on track and lets you see when you feel the need to splurge. Its easier to build in a planned, healthy snack than to undo the damage from a binge eating session. You could always try taking pictures, trying on the same pair of jeans to see if they fit, or taking measurements. No matter how you track your progress, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing positive results.
