I have not started this three week healthy eating on the right foot. I'm pretty much destroying myself with late night eating. Good thing this is day two and I get a second chance. I'm trying something new with the blog and making each day of the week devoted to a different topic. Mondays are for Mommy. Before becoming a Mommy, I was a gym fanatic. I lived there for 3 hours 6 days a week. I could go when I wanted and stay for as long as I liked. Now, I work my schedule around my little man. I used to be a late morning or evening workout person. Now, I have to workout in the mornings because that's when he's up for the longest stretch of time. I rely on the gym daycare to get my workout in and they have a 2 hour limit so, whatever I can't get done in that time, I have to do at home. This is why I only do cardio at the gym and not lifting. I miss lifting. I don't have the equipment at home to really push myself. I try to do my free weight and floor workouts during his nap or after my husband gets home from work. My little guy is not cooperative when it comes to letting me get my workouts in. He loves to sit on me, climb on the mat, try to pick up the weights or push them around the room. I spend more time laughing and playing with him than focusing on my form, counting my reps, etc. I still have no idea how working Moms do it. I admire their dedication. When the day comes that I have to go back to work, I will understand. Today, I'm thankful I have the flexibility.
