Food Friday-My every day foods and a sweet treat

My poor eating habit the last week have caught up with me.  I hate having a bad weigh-in.  It just puts me in a bad mood.  Especially after I had a killer workout today.  It was one of those workouts were I was able to really push myself and if the sweat pouring off of me was any indication; my body was feeling it.  I'll recover over the weekend, but its not how I wanted to start my Friday.

Fridays are about FOOD!  We all have our kitchen essentials.  Those pantry staples we use every day.  Here are some of mine.
Fruits: Bananas, Apples (Jangold lately), Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Unsweetened Apple Butter
Vegetable: Bagged Lettuce Mix, Carrot Chips, Carrot Sticks Cauliflower, Grape Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Canned Pumpkin
Dairy/Protien: Unsweetened Almond Milk, Reduced Fat Colby Jack Cheese, Eggs, Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts or Pecans)
Grains: Quick Oats, 100% Whole Wheat Bread, Quinoa, Honey Nut Cereal
Sweets: Trader Joe's Cake Mix, Strawberry Energy Crystal Light, Chocolate Chips
Extras: Cinnamon, Truvia, Vanilla Extract, Fat Free Dressing

My latest sweet discovery has been mixing a box of cake mix with cook and serve pudding prepared with almond milk.  Sprinkle some chocolate chips on top and bake according to package directions.  Its not low in sugar, but it a delicious treat without the fat of adding butter and icing.  Enjoy!
