Tighten and Tone Thursday

How is it only Thursday?!  I'm having a very long week.  I guess babies that are cutting molars will do that to you.  If you're like me, you're breaking out the fall/winter clothes and eying those skinny jeans.  Yes, they look great with a pair of boots and a cute sweater.  Yes, they show your every curve and do not hide that extra tummy fat at all.  My suggestion to tighten and tone those legs is to do lunges.  They are simple and easy to do at home.  I have been doing them and variations of them for years.  They have completely re-shaped my legs and helped with my posture too.  When doing lunges, do not let your knee go past your toes, tuck your tummy in and hold your head up.  No slouching!  Start with 3 sets of 12 and go from there.  Add weights when you're ready.  Try stepping backwards instead of forwards, sideways, or do traveling lunges.  Lots of options to keep you from getting bored.  Honestly, I really hate doing lunges, but that's because they hurt and they work.  Happy lunging.
