Tuesday Tip- Learn to love your salad
One of my favorite healthy habits is having a salad with dinner. I eat a small-medium size salad every night with dinner or I order a side salad if we are out to eat. Then, my 'main course' is a small portion of the higher calorie entree. Last night, I had a salad and a small cup of homemade soup. Without the salad, I would still be hungry after the soup and would be consuming a lot more calories. It also ensures I get my daily dose of veggies and vitamins. My salad usually consist of romaine, carrots, cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, a tiny bit of reduced fat cheese and a low calorie dressing of choice. It is colorful and I look forward to it every day.
