Tighten and Tone Thursday-planks
My jam packed 'to do' list is making eating healthy difficult. Add in the stress of moving, the holidays, a toddler that is not adjusting well and eating healthy is even more difficult. Its a good thing I'm doing a lot of extra running around, cleaning, organizing, and sticking to my workouts. I've had to squeeze them in during nap time and after baby boy's bedtime. Its hard to stay motivated, but I want to bring in the new year with confidence. The extra eating has me struggling a little bit with my abs. Abs are made in the kitchen, not just doing crunches! Even one night of over eating shows in my abs the next day. I look bloated. For those of you not getting in the extra workouts from moving and unpacking like me, try doing some planks. Sneak them in while watching TV, first thing in the morning when you wake up, before you shower, etc. I do mine on my elbows because of my shoulder injury. Just remember to pull in your core, keep your butt down, and hold it for as long as you can. Try doing side planks, or lifting the opposite arm and leg to challenge yourself. Your tight and tone core will thank you.
